Prevention of Malnutrition

In the section of malnutrition, MAAO is contributing in the section of agricultural expansion by implementation of trainings of modern technics, hygiene trainings, involvement of women small holder farmers in kitchen gardening, beekeeping and fish farming activities which help the vulnerable households of their livelihood and arrangement of healthy food for their families.

Furthermore, in General Food Distribution (GFD) projects, MAAO implements the Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program (BSFP), the BSFP is set, as to provide a food supplement to all members of a particular group like all children under 5 years, pregnant and lactating women, identifies in the most vulnerable households and distribute the BSFP food according monthly ration scale.
